I tried these at a Christmas party and we have made them 2 times since. If you love chocolate chip cookie dough, you will love these!
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 stick softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour (either kind will work as your not baking it)
1/2 c miniature chocolate chips
12 oz (half a pack) of Chocolate Almond Bark
Soften your butter and add the sugars, vanilla, flour and then chocolate chips. Put into freezer for 10 minutes. Take out and roll into 1 inch balls and place on wax paper. Put back in freezer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile melt your chocolate bark with 1 Tbs. crisco in a small pan. Remove balls from freezer and dip each one in chocolate using a fork. Tap the fork on the side to remove excess chocolate. Put back on wax paper.

Sounds VERY interesting...!!
What is chocolate almond bark? Where do you get a hold of it; I mean, is it something any grocery store would carry?

You can get it at Wal-Mart. It is by the cocoa.

I am going to try these soon!'

Another recipe is Oreo Truffles.

In a food processor, process until well mixed and no lumps remain:
8 oz block of cream cheese
2 rows of oreos from a standard package of oreos (leaving you with a remaining row to enjoy)
1 tsp vanilla

Refrigerate mixture 15-30 minutes.

Using a melon baller, scoop this mixture into small balls, and place on cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate about 30 minutes - 1 hour.

In the meantime, melt 12 oz chocolate chips (I use Hershey's Special Dark) and 1 tbsp shortening in a double boiler, or microwave, allow to cool slightly.

Dip balls into chocolate using fork or toothpick, shaking off excess chocolate, and place back on wax paper. Refrigerate. These get melty if they're out for more than an hour after they've been completed. They are actually great frozen!

We make these as well, but we put the whole package of Oreos in it but no vanilla. Then we instantly roll them out with our hands and put them on wax paper. Then we freeze them while the almond bark melts over the lowest heat on the stove. I have never had them dipped in chocolate. They are VERY good!! When I make these to take some place, there is never any to bring home.
