It's called All Day Beef Stew
1 packet of onion soup mix (dry)
1 can tomato soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can golden mushroom soup
2 cups water
1 1/2 lbs. beef stew meat (cut up in about 1 inch pieces)
4 or 5 carrots, sliced into about 2 inch lengths
3 or 4 potatoes, about 2 inch pieces
Cook all day in crockpot on high. My kids LOVE this recipe and it is even better the next day. You could add turnips or parsnips if you wanted. Yummy! |

Similar to how I make roast in the crockpot. i will have to try it with stew.
Thanks for posting this. here is my roast recipe if anyonw is interested"
The original recipe called for golden mushroom as well, but I use regular.
By the time it cooks down and the juices are added you can never tell.
One roast, pan seared. Place in crockpot. Pour some water 2 cups or so
in skillet and deglaze the pan. Add mushroom soup stir until combined.
Add onion soup mix, combine. Pour mixture over roast cook all day. Can add potatoes and carrots towards the end if you like. Roast, gravy veggies, little effort. Yeah!!!!
Note: Do not add salt, the onion soup mix is salty on its own.
Enjoy!
