Robin,
How do you get it to work? I have been trying to use it, but my baked stuff turns out really flat. Do adjust other things?
Thanks!

Laurie,
I use it just like regular sugar. I live in Florida....I don't know if altitude has anything to do with it. Splenda does have a web site with recipes...try checking there. I hope you get some success....oh they also are offering a $1.00 off coupon on their site!

We tried Splenda for a little while, I am a type II diabetic, but gave it up after I found out how they make it. Splenda is genetically altered sugar. Scientists have genetically altered the sugar molecule so your body doesn't recognize it and it passes through you. My dh and I are very leary of genetically mutated food and avoid it at all costs. My concerns for Splenda use is that if your body doesn't recognize it, how do you know for sure it passes through and isn't just stuck some where in your system. I know many people have problems with it causing GI problems and very loose stools. It is a choice you have to make. We have chosen to avoid all food that has been genetically altered. |
