I found a recipe for apple-cranberry crisp that I would like to try but it calls for 1/3 c brandy. What do I use instead of the brandy? Would apple juice work? Would some other liquid be better? Thanks for your help!!

With that small of an amount, you would probably be fine substituting apple juice or even water.
