Help, dh and I both hate to cook, so we go out all the time. Well, my cholesterol was checked the other day and it is close to 300! Yep, something obviously has to change. I always thought I was being careful by choosing lo cal healthy type things on the menu, but when you eat out they put lots of oils and fats in foods that you can control if you cook at home. Which brings me to this board. Does anybody know of some EASY and HEALTHY recipes that can be whipped up from start to finish in less than 30 minutes? Thanks in advance. |

What about steamed vegetables with rice and maybe chicken breast? This is usually done in less than 30 min. I made some last night, where I took rice, water, spices, chicken breast and a bag of brocolli and brought it to a boil and then simmered on low for about 25 min. Very simple and healthy!
If you buy those bags of salad greens already washed and everything and then add some cooked chicken on top and dressing this is a good light dinner or lunch.
Make a sauce with lots of vegetables in it and chunks of tomatoes to eat over rice. |
