Processed cheese

I was given about 6-8 lbs of processed cheese and am needing some ideas to use it. I have made macaroni and cheese with it, cheese dip for chips, but could use some recipes and your favorite things to do with it!

Is it a spread, slices or a block like velveeta??

You could make:
Cheese sauce for veg
Mix into mashed potatoes
Topping for baked potatoes
Grilled cheese sandwiches

MMM..I'm getting hungry!!!

You could make a cheese sauce to pour over vegetables. I just make a medium white sauce then add about a cup of shredded processed cheese and pour it over anything from broccoli to spinach. Cheese sauce goes with just about anything. Also, since this type of cheese is very difficult to grate I just said that to give you an idea as to how much to put in. I just cut it in chunks to melt into the white sauce, but I never measure it so can't give you specifics!

Grilled cheese is an option for this type of cheese too. Grilled cheese with tomato soup for lunch...yum!

Yes, it is the block kind like velveeta! Does anyone have a good recipe for scalloped potatoes using this? I had some I thought was really good before, but mine never turns out to taste very good I think.

For a snack or with soup-- cheese toast: slice cheese and lay on bread, heat in the oven till melty. You can make it plain or top with onions, sliced olives, tomato & pickle under the cheese, etc.

My favorite scalloped potatoes has cream of chicken or cream of celery soup and sour cream too, along with the cheese.

It is also fun for my children to eat plain cubes of cheese with raw veggies.
